Since 1989 that our Board has been working firmly to establish the Schmidt Light Metal Group as a major player in the Portuguese Automotive Industry. We have proudly produced since the beginning components for automobiles, that are now crossing the streets all over the world. This is only possible because these leaders have always had a clear vision of what they want to pursue. They are the ones who shape the future and make it happen, acting as role models for their values and ethics and inspiring trust at all times. This is their shared vision, their shared commitment, their shared knowledge. They know that success comes from hard work, from developing a stakeholder focused strategy that is then put to action into every decision made.

On the 23rd of November 1989, the organization that we proudly now call Schmidt Light Metal Group was born. Thirty years passed and as we celebrate this achievement through 2020, we also prepare for the future in this famous VUCA world, that shifts at the speed of lightning.
